Bill, I wanted to let you know that we had a great guided tour with John Brunning, last Friday in Estes Park on the Big Thompson. It was fantastic as far as the guide, the fishing and the weather. My nephew, brother and I all caught fish and I learned a new technique using strike indicators and droppers with nymphs. Also, I wanted to let you know that Jon, the individual in the shop, helped us immensely when we went in for licenses and fittings of our waders and boots. All in all, the entire trip was a fantastic event for all of us. Bill: Got the order - - thanks to you and your staff for putting up with all of my requests, spooling the reels, attaching the connectors to all of those lines and for getting the stuff to me on Tuesday. I fished some really special water near Mammoth yesterday, and we had the entire river to ourselves. I caught probably 20+ fish in the first hour. Later in the day, after crouching near a bend in the river for about two hours trying to get the bugs just right, I got into a rainbow that made my arm sore - - the largest fish I have ever fought in a stream. When visiting my son in Boulder, I came into your shop on 9-4-03. I had not located it or your web site in my two previous trips. Since I had to stay close to Boulder and only fish mornings you directed me to South Boulder Creek at Walkers Ranch. That was a great tip, Thanks. I caught 39 fish in one outing. I was able to float the Kenai river last weekend and had a great trip for Rainbows. A 29" bow was landed, unfortunately not on the end of my 7wt. Oh well maybe next time.
