Front Range Anglers Guide Service
provides each client with the following equipment: rod
and reel outfit with leader/tippet, felt-soled wading
boots, breathable waders, trout net and fly box (please
let us know if you would like us to select and purchase
your flies). For most trips we supply a basic lunch, which
consists of a sandwich, chips, fruit, energy bars, cookies/brownies,
and drinks. Below are two lists of additional equipment.
The first list is additional equipment, which you MUST
bring on your trip. The weather in Colorado is often unpredictable
and can change without notice, especially at alpine lakes
and streams. The second list is additional things that
you may wish to bring, but that are not required.
Required
gear:
1. Hiking boots/shoes
2. Rain jacket (preferably breathable)
3. Backpack (midsized)
4. Wicking socks and pants
5. Mid-weight socks and fleece pants
6. Hat with bill or brim
7. Sunglasses (preferably polarized)
8. Water bottle (preferably Nalgene)
9. Medication(s) (if applicable)
10. Spare clothes (to be left in truck)
11. Waterproof sunscreen
12. Fishing license
Recommended
gear:
1. Gloves
2. "Winter" hat
3. Rain pants
4. Cameras (still and/or video)
5. Binoculars
All
fishing gear is available at Front Range Anglers. Additional
non-fishing gear can be purchased at the North Face
(located behind our shop), at Boulder Army/Navy, which
is really a camping store located just east of our satellite
location at 15th and Pearl, or at EMS (Eastern Mountain
