We are sad to let you know that Brian Schmidt, our fly tying manager and popular salesman and guide, is moving on to an excellent quality-assurance position at Umpqua's new headquarters based in Louisville, CO. We're really happy for him, but his shoes will be hard to fill.

The National Fly Fishing Championships were here in Boulder last week, which kept everyone in the industry hopping (see article below). We're keeping the newsletter short to allow our trusty writers a little time to recover. My instincts tell me everyone is busy anyway -- I hope everybody's getting out and enjoying summer.
