Simple Blood Knot

| Here is a variation of the standard Blood Knot
developed by Mark Sosin and Lefty Kreh. Many anglers feel is easier to tie
and just as strong as the original blood knot. |

| 1. Overlap the lines, holding them where they
cross |

| 2. Wrap the right tag end 7 times around the standing line | |

| 3. Wrap the left tag end 7 times around the right |

| 4. Lubricate and tighten by pulling first on
the tag ends and then on the standing line. Alternate until the knot pulls
down smoothly. |
