Hecoma Game Ranch/Front Range Anglers Clinic Checklist

1. Leave Front Range Anglers at 8am Friday
2. Fishing from arrival to about 4pm 
3. Got to Cedaredge for dinner/supper
4. Fish until dark

Saturday

1. Fish all day

Sunday

1. Fish until noon
2. Return to Front Range Anglers.

Personal Needs:

1. Sleeping bag and pillow
2. Towel and other toiletries as required for personal needs
3. Bottled water and other personal liquid refreshments
4. Snacks and other foodstuffs for breakfast and lunch, per personal needs
5. Cedaredge is appx 20 minutes from the ranch.
6. This is where we are planning on eating dinner/supper.
7. If you so desire you can breakfast and lunch there also.
8. Waders NOT required as no wading is permitted.
9. Rain gear, especially shoes or boots as it is extremely muddy when it rains.

Fishing Equipment:

1. Rod, 5 wt to 8 wt
2. Floating line e/w 15# to 20# butt section
3. Tippet material, 0x to 3x (10# to 6#)
4. Tapered leaders are not generally required

Flies:

1. There will be some flies available from the “host” guides that are effective.

1. Bead/Cone Head Zonker, Black, Olive (2~10)
2. Midge Larvae, Olive, Black, Brown(16~20)
3. Wire Nymphs, Copper, Red, Orange, Black and Blue (6~14)
4. Leeches, Black, Dark Brown and Claret sizes 6~10

Late Spring & Early Summer;

1. Damsel Nymphs, Olive, Tan (8~10)
2. Midge Adults, Black, Light & Dark Olive (14~20)
3. Parachute Adams (12~20)

Summer;

1. Water Boatman, (10~14) Beadhead
2. Chironomids, Brown, Olive, Dark Red and Chromies [Brian Chan’s] (12~16)
3. Damsel Nymphs, Olive, Tan (8~10)
4. Damsel Adults, Blue, Tan (8~10)
5. Midge Adults, Black, Dark Olive (14~20)
