Step
Tying Instruction:
1
Start thread behind hook eye and wrap thread to 1/3 hook shank length.

Tie in parachute wing material at 1/3 hook shank length. Note: Do not cut off excess

Tie Tail material behind wing. Note: Tail length equals hook shank length.

Tie in abdomen "vane" with notch forward/up, wrap thread base to above hook barb.Note: The "vane" is opposite the "biot" side of a turkey quill.

Cut off excess tail material behind wing.

Prepare and tie in body quill.Note: Soak quill in water prior to tying in and wrapping.

Wrap an even/smooth thread base over body quill to above hook barb.

Wrap an even/smooth thread base to front of wing.

Wrap body quill to 2~3 wraps in front of wing. Tie in and cut off excess.

Tie in hackle feather, dull side toward hookshank, in front of wing.

Dub the thorax behind and in front of wing to 2 eye lengths behind hook eye.

Wrap hackle around parachute post, 4~6 turns. Tie off and cut off hackle tip.
13
Whip-finish an extra small head.
14
Cut parachute wing to length. Length equals your choice.
