Step
Tying Instruction:

Slide Bead on hook.

Start thread behind bead. Wrap a thread base to 1/3 shank length.

Tie in shuck material, wrap thread base over shuck material to above hook barb. Note: Shuck length equals body length.

Tie in abdomen "vane" with notch forward/up.Note: The "vane" is opposite the "biot" side of a turkey quill.

Return the thread to 2 eye lengths behind bead.

Wrap abdomen biot to 2 eye lengths behind bead. Tie off and cut off excess.

Tie in shellback/wing foam.

Wrap thread base to 1/3 hookshank.

Dub an in the thread thorax to 1 eye length behind hook eye.Note: The thorax should be larger than the bead-head.

Pull shellback/wing forward and tie off. Do not cut off excess.

Tie in hackle behind wing and make 3 ~ 4 wraps.

Tie off behind wing and cut off excess.

Whip-finish a small head in front of wing and behind bead.

Trim wing, add optional fabric paint for indicator.
