Hook: TMC 200RBL
Size: 8 ~ 12
Thread: Danville's 210, Color Of Body
Tail: Stacked Elk Hair
Rib: Fine Copper Wire
Abdomen: Green, Red Or Orange Dubbing or Thread Only
Palmered Hackle: Natural Brown Saddle Hackle
Wing: Stacked Elk Hair
Thorax: Same As Abdomen Dubbing or Thread Only
Hackle: Grizzly, Dry Fly Grade, Sized For Hook
Legs: Round Rubber W/Marking
Head: Thread
 
Step Tying Instruction
1 Lay thread base. Tail area & back to 2/3 body.
2 Tie in stacked Elk Hair 1/3 length of body. And extend hair tag 2/3 hook shank toward eye, forming thick abdomen base, trim a taper.
3 Retract thread to tail & tie in copper wire and brown hackle by tip.
4 Dub tapered abdomen to tapered Elk hair end.
5 Palmer hackle through abdomen past 1/2 hook.
6 Spiral wire through abdomen past 1/2 hook.
7 Stack large bunch of Elk Hair and lay in on top of abdomen. Lay it in so tips are even with tail points. Trim butts at an angle. Make tight turns of thread to lock it in place. Add head cement for durability
8 Tie in Grizzly Hackle and add legs on each side of thorax.
9 Dub thick thorax taking care to fold legs out of the way to one eye space from eye.
10 Take 5-6 turns of Grizzly hackle, again taking care to pull legs out of the way, trim hackle, and whip finish. Add head cement to complete.

Fishing Instructions
:
Fish this fly as a "strike indicator fly" with a trailing emerger or by itself. It will float perfectly on the surface and you can see it from great distances. You can even drown it and fish it in the film as a cripple or emerger.

Note:
In British Columbia, they do not allow for a second fly when fly fishing, only a one-fly rig is allowed.
