Hook: TMC 100 BL or 101 BL
Size: 16 ~ 20
Thread: Rust UTC 70 Denier
Tail: 4~ 6 Dun Hackle Fibers
Abdomen: Fine Rust Dubbing or Thread Only.
Spent Wing: CDC White Feathers Or Turkey Flats
Thorax: Heavier Rust Dubbing
Head: Thread
 
Step Tying Instruction
1 Lay thread base to tail and tie in tailing fibers.
2 Dub a very fine tapered abdomen to 1/2 shank.
3 Tie in CDC feathers or turkey flats, one on each side, the hook shank length for size.
4 Add head cement to the thread before dubbing thorax.
5 Dub a thick thorax; figure "8"over, in back and in front of spent wings.
6 Whip-finish with a minimum number of wraps.
7 Add head cement to complete fly.

Fishing Instructions:
Dead drift this fly in the film when mating swarms of mayflies are present, or when you observe them on the water.

Note:
In British Columbia, they do not allow for a second fly when fly fishing, only a one-fly rig is allowed.
